Work as a GP Allergist
Are you a Vocationally Registered GP or Paediatrician with an interest in doing something different? Join a leading, supportive practice, enjoy funded training and find ‘your people’ in allergy medicine – a field that offers both clinical variety and real impact for patients.
Why this role is special
This is a niche but growing area of medicine, where you can make a meaningful difference every single day. You will help mostly young patients and their families, who are often encountering the healthcare system for the first time, manage life-changing conditions with clarity and confidence.
Whether you are experienced or new to allergy medicine, we offer comprehensive mentorship and funded education to support your development in this high-demand field.
The work
A dynamic mix of simple and complex cases in a predominantly younger patient population. You will hone your skills in adult internal medicine, paediatrics, mental health, dermatology and rhinology with the opportunity for more!
- Primarily episodic care with some longitudinal opportunities. Minimal Medicare, legal or Workcover paperwork!
- No on-call, no after-hours, no public holidays required with encouragement to consider weekend clinics monthly or quarterly
- Secure, well remunerated employment with stable patient demand, super and paid leave
You will be part of:
- A collaborative multidisciplinary team of experienced clinicians
- A culture of peer support, mentorship and clinical integrity
- A practice that empowers you, evidence-based care and genuine patient outcomes
The location
For an initial period of training, you will come and learn with us in our brand new purpose-built allergy clinic in Deakin, one of Canberra’s most sought-after suburbs, close to Parliament House and the major medical precincts. As you mature in your allergy practice, we will build a support structure around you wherever you are from, so that you can bring your new skills and our proven systems to offer access to high quality care in your region!
About you
- Vocationally Registered GP (FRACGP or equivalent) or Paediatrician (FRACP)
- Interest in allergy or immunology (experience not essential — we provide training)
- Committed to delivering high-quality patient-focused care
This is your chance to carve out a special and secure career path supported by a strong team, exceptional training and a patient population that truly values what you do.
